  25. A Quick Starter
  26. ===============
  27. Open the package into a floppy in either drive A or B, or into a dedicated
  28. directory on the hard drive, preferably C:\IV. Login to the floppy drive, or
  29. into the directory on the HD and run INSTALL/FAST. InVircible will install
  30. itself with the default settings in directory C:\IV. A search path to C:\IV
  31. will be added in the AUTOEXEC as well as the commands IVINIT and IVB DAILY.
  32. InVircible will run these test on subsequent bootings.

  34. It is highly recommended to prepare a ResQdiskette immediately after the
  35. installation of InVircible. Insert a formatted floppy (720K/1.2M or 1.44M)
  36. in drive A, go to InVircible's directory and run INSTALL/R. A search path
  37. should exist to the SYS.COM file (usually in the C:\DOS directory).

  39. For quick familiarization run IVMENU and press F1 to open the on-line
  40. hypertext help.

  42. Registration and Licensing
  43. ==========================
  44. InVircible in its non-registered mode (Sentry) is freeware to the private
  45. user, and may be used at no charge, provided the PC on which InVircible is
  46. installed does not serve for business or profit.
  47.  
  48. The IV Armor (copyright and patent pending) passive protection is enabled
  49. only after registration.
  50.  
  51. Businesses, corporate, administration and institutional users are accorded
  52. a 30 day "try before you buy" evaluation period. After which they are
  53. requested either to purchase a site license to continue using InVircible,
  54. or remove all copies of InVircible, sentry included, from their computers
  55. and network servers.

  57. On-line registration is available in Israel, Australia, New Zealand, the
  58. US, France and Germany. These countries have authorized registration
  59. agents. The phone number for on-line registration is usually indicated on
  60. exit from the IVmenu program.

  62. Downloading InVircible from Internet
  63. ====================================
  64. InVircible is regularly uploaded by the author for ftp through Internet.
  65. The ftp host address and directory are: ftp.datasrv.co.il/pub/usr/netz and
  66. ftp.netcom.com/pub/an/antivir/invircible. InVircible is also available from
  67. other anonymous ftp sites such as Simtel and its mirrors (oak.oakland.edu
  68. /pub/msdos/virus/) and others.

  72. The current version is identified in the file name, e.g. INVB601A.ZIP is
  73. version 6.01 revision A.

  75. The manual, in both plain ASCII text and in Windows Word 6 format is
  76. available from the same host. Look for IVMANUAL.ZIP.
